2010 Long Swim Schedule - South End
Clubhouse Athletics Current

The Long Swims swims are more demanding and challenging than the Club Swims and are supported almost entirely by swimmers. There is typically no organized breakfast after the swims, so the primary volunteer need is for pilots. Accordingly, it is imperative that swimmers take turns piloting these swims.

To ensure adequate pilot coverage, it may be necessary to hold a lottery if more swimmers sign up than can be safely accommodated. In the case of a lottery, swimmers who have piloted for previous Long Swims will have preference over swimmers who have not piloted Long Swims.
